I am an artist & administrator living in the colorado mountains. I am a mother, flower gardener, and aspiring poet. I appreciate whimsical children’s books and a really strong iced-matcha with honey.

I received my MA in mental health counseling & expressive arts therapy from appalachian state university. I also studied child development in nature, both at the university of washington (seattle) and dronning mauds minne høgskole in trondheim, norway. 

while working in the human development & education world, I took painting classes and a course in children's book illustration. my formal training includes a handful of college-level painting & ceramic courses. I currently work in higher education, while continuing to paint food & flowers, illustrate forest creatures, and sew magical birthday crowns.
